Performance

Apple claims about 30 % CPU performance boost over the previous generation and 25 % faster graphics. A 16-core Neural Engine is included to accelerate machine learning and AI tasks.
It comes with 8 GB of RAM. The device is offered in 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage variants (no expandable storage).
Operating System
The iPad mini 7 ships with iPadOS 18. It is built to support “Apple Intelligence” features (Apple’s AI enhancements), and the hardware is chosen to handle upcoming OS features smoothly.
The OS supports multitasking (split view, stage manager), advanced pen input with Apple Pencil, and the full iPad app ecosystem optimized for this compact form.
